Valorant Champions 2026: Full Valorant Tournament Coverage and Premier Schedule

Valorant Champions

The 2026 competitive season is shaping up to be one of the most action-packed years in Riot Games’ history. Whether you’re tracking odds on platforms like db bet or simply following the scene as a dedicated fan, there’s never been a better time to get properly acquainted with how the whole machine works. From regional Kickoffs to the grand finale in Shanghai, the road to becoming Valorant Champions is longer, tougher, and more spectacular than ever before.

How the 2026 VCT Structure Actually Works

Before diving into specific dates and events its helpful to understand the outline of the season. Valorant Champions Tour 2026 is VCT’s sixth season and the fourth to operate as a franchise. Four , Four international leagues , leagues form the backbone of everything: America EMEA Pacific and China. They each hold their own tournaments throughout the year , year and create teams that will eventually meet on the world stage.

Starting this season the Kickoff Stage has a triple-elimination format – teams that lose in the top bracket are relegated to the middle bracket and then to the bottom bracket if they lose again.  And oh yeah This is a significant change from the old double removal setup.  Think of it as an extra life for teams that stumble early while still rewarding consistent performance in three different categories.

The Regional Leagues: Where It All Begins

The circuit kicked off on January 15 and 22 with regional Kickoffs staggered across the four international leagues. Each league hosts 12 franchised teams competing in round-robin group play before transitioning into the elimination brackets.

Here’s a practical example of how the Americas league works: the 12 teams are split into two groups, play a single best-of-three round-robin, and the top four from each group advance to a double-elimination playoff. The system rewards consistency — a team that sleepwalks through groups rarely survives the bracket.

In VCT Americas this year, ENVY was promoted from Challengers after finishing first in the Ascension tournament, replacing 2Game Esports, who were automatically relegated. This also marks ENVY’s return to top-tier Valorant competition after the team was rebranded to OpTic Gaming back in 2022. Stories like that are exactly why the regional leagues are worth following even before the big international events start.

The International Tournaments: Masters Santiago and Masters London

Once the regional stages conclude, the best teams from each league pack up and travel to compete on international soil. Unlike previous seasons, both Masters events now feature twelve teams, replacing the eight-team field used for the first Masters stops in prior years. That’s four extra teams getting a shot at international glory — which means more upsets, more storylines, and more pressure on established favorites.

Masters Santiago — The First Big Test

Masters Santiago 2026 will be held in Santiago, Chile, and is Valorant’s first tournament in South America since LOCK//IN São Paulo , Paulo 2023. The Masters , Masters event raised US$1 million and followed the format of the Swiss leg prior to qualifying.

The Swiss system is especially worth understanding if you’re not already familiar with it. Teams are paired with opponents of the same record – so a 2-0 team plays another 2-0 team, gradually separating the playing field so that only the truly consistent teams can advance.  Guess what? It rewards adaptability because you can’t scout an opponent with a fixed arc like you would a standard elimination tree.

Masters London — The Last Stop Before Champions

London will host the next international tournament from June 6 to 21. The United Kingdom has never hosted a Valorant Champions Tour event before, but with many fan-favorite players hailing from the country — Jake “Boaster” Howlett and Benjy “benjyfishy” Fish among them — it could well be a massive success.

Masters London effectively serves as the final audition for teams chasing a Champions spot. Things remain the same as Stage 1 for the second split of the year, but teams are now looking to secure the final spots to qualify for Champions, with each region qualifying four teams — two through Stage 2 playoffs and two based on VCT Points.

Valorant Champions Shanghai — The Season Finale

That’s the big deal.  Valorant Tournament of Champions 2026 will be held in Shanghai, China – the first time China has hosted the tournament and NRG’s first title defense after defeating Fnatic 3-2 in the previous finals.

This S-level tournament runs from September 24th to October 18th, 2026 and features 16 teams competing for a prize pool of $2,250,000.  The qualifying groups have been carefully designed to avoid matches from  the same region in the group stage – meaning that each group of four has a team from each major region, ensuring inter-regional clashes happen from the start.

You know what? Group 1 consists of the best teams from Europe, the Middle , Middle East, Africa, the Americas, the Pacific and China, while the remaining groups are filled by teams that qualify during Stage 2 or collect enough competition points during the season.

The Valorant Premier Schedule — The Path to Pro

Not everyone watching the VCT is a franchised pro. A huge part of what makes the ecosystem healthy is the Valorant Premier system — Riot’s in-game tournament mode that bridges the gap between regular ranked play and professional Challengers leagues.

Premier is a competitive game mode in Valorant that is only available on PC and uses the same in-game rules as Competitive mode, but focuses on the highest level of competition and includes professional mechanics such as map selection/banning phases and timeouts.

The bold , bold first phase of the V26A1 stage ran from January to March, with weekly map changes and a March 1st playoff date for teams qualifying for the next level of the competition.

Teams are divided into one of six classes – Open, Intermediate, Advanced, Elite, Contender and Invitational – based on the MMR of the top five players. Winning the Invite Division earns teams a spot in the regional Challengers League, the first real step toward eventually competing in a franchise VCT league.

What the Premier Map Pool Looks Like

The V26A1 rotation mixed established maps like Haven and Bind with newer additions like Abyss and Corrode. Each week focuses on a single map, giving squads time to develop deep strategies before match day rather than being forced to spread preparation across the full pool.
